The Period-Friendly India Pledge

This Menstrual Hygiene Day, we pledge to make our office a period-friendly workplace.

Every workplace has people who menstruate. This pledge is your company's commitment to make sure they never have to choose between their health and their work. PadCare already runs the workplace disposal layer for 1,800+ Indian customers, including Capgemini, Infosys, Pfizer, Mahindra, and many more.

What you are signing

Three commitments to put in place by Menstrual Hygiene Day 2027.

01

Make period products accessible in workplace washrooms.

Period products are stocked, free, and accessible in every washroom, without vending machines that require coins or bring-your-own arrangements.

02

Dispose of sanitary waste in a sustainable way.

A discreet bin in every stall, collected regularly and recycled responsibly. PadCare handles this end-to-end as a service.

03

Tell your employees, formally, that this is policy.

An internal memo to all employees, communicating that period care is company policy and that the provisions in the washrooms are there for use.

Questions HR asks first.

Is recognition really free?+
Yes. PadCare issues the recognition at no cost. The digital badge for your LinkedIn and careers pages and the pledge acknowledgement certificate are included. No subscription, no condition that you become a customer.
Who is PadCare to recognise this?+
PadCare is India's largest sanitary waste recycling-as-a-service company. We operate at 1,800+ workplaces across 25 cities, from Capgemini and Infosys to Pfizer and Zerodha. We have been featured in Forbes India, CNBC, Times of India, The Better India, and on Shark Tank India. The recognition is built on operational standards we already enforce at customer sites.
What am I committing the company to on 28 May?+
Signing today commits you to a path. The three commitments need to be in place by Menstrual Hygiene Day 2027, not on 28 May 2026 itself. The pledge secures your acknowledgement, your digital badge, and triggers a 20-minute scoping call to map what implementation looks like for your offices.
Does this map to BRSR and the SWM 2026 rules?+
Yes. Sanitary waste reports under BRSR Principle 6, Question 9, Row H. The updated Solid Waste Management Rules 2026 require segregated handling of sanitary waste. The infrastructure that makes you period-friendly is the same infrastructure that makes you compliant on both.
What if our offices are leased or co-working?+
The pledge works the same way for leased and coworking offices. PadCare services properties through facility partners like JLL and CBRE, and the pledge applies at the employer level rather than the property level.
